
Hyderabad, Nov.19 (RAHNUMA): Prof. Karumuri Ashok of the Centre for Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS), University of Hyderabad, has been conferred the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS) Fellowship 2025 for his significant contributions to climate research.
Prof Ashok’s work spans ENSO Modoki discovery, Indo-Pacific teleconnections, Earth system modelling, monsoon variability, climate change and seasonal predictions.
The IMS Awards, including Fellowships and other honours, were announced at the inaugural session of the INTROMET-2025 international conference at IITM Pune. So far, 63 scientists have received the IMS fellowship until 2024.
