Hyderabad, Nov.23 (RAHNUMA): The “Sardar@150 Unity March” program was organized in Secunderabad Sitafalmandi to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was held grandly. The rally, which started at the Sitafalmandi Shivaji Statue, ended at the Chilakalguda Gandhi Statue. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy took part in the program.
Speaking on the occasion, he said all Telangana people should keep Sardar Patel in their hearts in Telangana for liberating the state from the clutches of the Nizam ruler . He said that There was no leader who has served Telangana, the Hyderabad State, and the people of this land better than Sardar Patel and added that the massacres carried out by the Razakars throughout rural Telangana in those days, the atrocities committed against thousands of Hindus, and the inhuman harassment of women—were facts known to their history. “The great man who freed us from that plight was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He was the leader, who united the Hyderabad State with India through Operation Polo and gave true freedom to our Telangana. Sardar Patel also played an unprecedented role in nation-building. After independence, Sardar Patel was the leader, who united small princely states and hundreds of kingdoms into one India. If we are one today—it is because of Patel’s foresight, courage, and sacrifice. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is the great man, who transformed a country with many cultural, religious, and geographical differences into a united India,” he said.
Reddy said that On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of such a leader, their sacrifices, their way of thinking, their resolve for India—this future generation must definitely know and reach everyone and added that It was no exaggeration to say that there was no person equal to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the history of Telangana. “The services he rendered and the historical decisions he took for the future of this land and the people of this region are unprecedented. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is the great man, who liberated the then Hyderabad State through the Operation Polo and duly united our Telangana with India. It is because of his actions that today we have become participants in a free and democratic India. That is why it is the responsibility of all of us to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in every courtyard, every village, every school, and every office of our Telangana.
These celebrations are not just birth anniversary programs — they are also an opportunity to ensure that Patel’s sacrifice, leadership, and courage reach future generations,” he said.
