WTITC Appoints Srikanth Badiga as Secretary for Global Trade & Investment Wing

Hyderabad, Nov.25 (RAHNUMA): The World Telugu Information Technology Council (WTITC) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Srikanth Badiga, Group Director of Phoenix, as the Secretary – Global Trade & Investment Wing, following a unanimous approval from the WTITC Governing Council. A highly respected global industry leader, Badiga brings decades of experience in Special Economic Zones, international trade diplomacy, and multi-country industry engagement. His leadership at Phoenix Group — one of India’s largest infrastructure and SEZ developers — adds further strategic depth to WTITC’s global expansion efforts. His official oath-taking ceremony will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center during the World Telugu IT Conference 2025.

Speaking on the appointment, WTITC Chairman, Sundeep Kumar Makthala, said, “WTITC is rapidly expanding its global footprint, and we need leaders who can engage with governments, trade bodies, investment agencies, and industry councils across continents. Srikanth Badiga’s deep experience in SEZ/FTZ policy, global economic cooperation, and his corporate leadership at Phoenix Group will play a transformative role in strengthening WTITC’s global trade and investment corridors. We look forward to witnessing his swearing-in at the Dubai World Trade Center, marking another proud milestone for WTITC.”

Accepting the appointment, Srikanth Badiga said, “I am honoured to join WTITC in this global capacity and contribute to strengthening the international connections of Telugu technocrats and enterprises. The Dubai World Trade Center is a symbolic platform for global collaboration, and I look forward to taking the oath there and supporting WTITC’s mission of building strong trade, investment, and innovation partnerships across continents.”

The appointment is effective immediately and will remain valid until 31 December 2027, with the swearing-in ceremony scheduled during the WTITC 2025 Conference in Dubai, UAE.
