Hyderabad, Nov.30 (RAHNUMA): BRS party Working President KTR on Sunday expressed deep concern over the massive fire that broke out in the vicinity of the famous shrine of Kondagattu Abhayanjaneya Swamy Temple in Jagtial district at Saturday midnight. KTR, who spoke to former MLA Sunke Ravishankar over the phone about the accident, inquired about the details of the damage at the field level.
KTR expressed his concern that poor and middle-class families, who had taken loans for employment and worked hard to set up shops were suddenly thrown on the road due to this accident. He expressed grief that all the goods, toys and other items in the shops were destroyed in the fire and added that the future of about 30 families was ruined. He said that it was unfortunate that the property damage amounted to about one crore rupees.
KTR expressed his anger that the failure of fire engines to arrive on time was the main reason for the huge increase in property damage. He criticized that the fact that the Jagtial fire engine was under repair and the one engine that arrived was not working and that vehicles arrived from Korutla and Karimnagar after an hour were evidence of the failure and negligence of the government machinery. He demanded that the state government take responsibility for this failure.
KTR appealed to the state government to immediately help the families, who had lost everything. Keeping in mind of the property damage, the completely damaged business, and the fact that the shops were rendered useless, he demanded that the government provide financial assistance of Rs. 30 lakh to each family with a humanitarian approach.
KTR congratulated former MLA Sunke Ravi Shankar, who reached the spot as soon as he was informed about the accident, participated in the relief operations and provided Rs. 5000 as immediate assistance to the victims. He assured the local people and the affected families that the BRS party would stand by them. KTR warned that if the affected families were not supported by paying compensation, their party would put pressure on the government.
