Hyderabad, Dec.2 (RAHNUMA): Vardhaman College of Engineering (VCE), Shamshabad, has been selected as one of 60 nodal centres in India – and one of only five in Telangana – for the “Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Software Edition” scheduled for December 8 and 9.
The SIH, organised by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is the country’s largest open-innovation movement, linking students directly with ministries, PSUs, district administrations and industries to solve real-world governance challenges.
The VCE nodal centre will host 151 innovators from 11 states, working on problem statements submitted by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
Calling it a ‘proud moment’, Principal Prof. JVR Ravindra said the recognition highlights Vardhaman’s commitment to innovation and real-world problem-solving.
SPOC Prof. Krishna Chaithanya Janapati said the hackathon is expected to yield “high-quality prototypes and transformative ideas.”
