Hyderabad, Dec.4 (RAHNUMA): Navy Week 2025 celebrations in Hyderabad will feature a three-day Navy Band concert starting December 6, hosted by Rear Admiral Ashwani Kumar Tikoo, VSM.
The Indian Navy Day is celebrated every year on the 4th of December. It was on this day that the Indian Navy launched Operation Trident in 1971. The precision strikes on Karachi harbour, Pakistan, undertaken by Indian Naval warships had a great impact in achieving a decisive victory. This also resulted in the liberation of East Pakistan and the creation of a new independent Bangladesh.
The Naval Band from the Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, will be performing at the Navy House, Bolarum on December 6 and 7.
The December 6 concert will be attended by Tri-services veterans, with Vice Admiral SR Sarma (Retd) as chief guest. On December 7, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will grace the event.
The Navy Band will also perform for the public at Sarath City Mall, Kondapur on December 8.
