Democracy, federalism and Telangana’s growth story draw global attention: Dasoju

Hyderabad, Dec.13 (RAHNUMA): BRS MLC Dr. Sravan Dasoju on Saturday said that Telangana’s democratic struggle, growth trajectory, and federal spirit found strong resonance during a high-level interaction with the German Bundestag Committee on Internal Affairs, led by Josef Oster, along with distinguished Members of Parliament from across Germany’s political spectrum.

Sravan Dasoju highlighted that the discussions prominently focused on the historic Telangana Agitation led by BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao and the remarkable transformation of Telangana across multiple sectors after statehood.

“The Telangana movement was not merely a regional struggle; it was a democratic assertion of dignity, self-respect, and federal justice. It is heartening to see global legislators keenly understand and appreciate this journey,” he said.

The interaction witnessed meaningful exchanges on democracy, federal structures, internal governance, judiciary, industry, and constitutional institutions, reflecting shared values between India and Germany.

“Strong federalism, institutional integrity, and respect for democratic mandates are the pillars of stable governance — values that Telangana has consistently upheld,” Dasoju asserted.

The BRS MLC noted that Hyderabad’s plural culture, economic dynamism, and global outlook were also discussed, alongside the growing strength of Indo-German relations.

“Hyderabad represents India’s composite culture and future-ready economy. Such dialogues deepen people-to-people ties and strengthen democratic partnerships between nations,” he remarked.

“In an increasingly polarised world, parliamentary dialogue rooted in democratic values is not a luxury — it is a necessity. Telangana stands ready to engage, learn, and contribute on the global democratic platform,” Dasoju Sravan said.
