Traffic diversions announced for Christmas celebrations at LB Stadium

Hyderabad, Dec.19 (RAHNUMA): D. Joel Davis, Joint Commissioner of Police ( Traffic, Hyderabad) informed that in view of the programme of Christmas Feast celebrations-2025 at LB Stadium in Hyderabad on December 20, the following traffic restrictions will be implemented on need basis between 5 PM and 10 PM.

In a statement, the police commissioner said the traffic will be either stopped or diverted at the following places/routes on need basis.

Traffic coming from AR Petrol Pump Junction towards BJR Statue will be diverted at A.R. Petrol Pump towards Nampally Railway Station. Traffic coming from Basheerbagh towards A.R. Petrol Pump will be diverted at BJR Statue towards SBI, Abids and Nampally Station road.

Traffic coming from Sujatha School lane towards Khan Lateef Khan building will be diverted at Sujatha School junction towards Nampally. Junctions should be avoided between 5 PM and 10 PM on Lakdi Ka Pool, Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad Traffic Police Junction, Basheerbagh, BJR Statue Circle, SBI Gunfoundry, A.R. Petrol Pump, KLK Building and Liberty routes.

The RTC buses plying from Ravindra Bharathi towards BJR Statue will be diverted at A.R. Petrol Pump towards Nampally Railway Station depending on the traffic situation as per the need.

Citizens are requested to take alternative routes to reach their destinations and avoid the above routes/junctions during the above specified timings and co-operate with the Traffic Police. In case of any inconvenience in commuting, please contact the Hyderabad Traffic Police Helpline 9010203626.

India have already sealed the five-match series comfortably after victories in the opening three games. In the third T20I, India openers Abhishek Sharma (113) and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (45) stitched together a powerplay display for the record books, piling on 118 runs in six overs as they chased down 199 runs off just 13.2 overs against New Zealand. This was the second-quickest chase of a 190-run target or more (with 40 deliveries remaining), second only to Estonia’s chase of 193 against Cyprus in 2024, which they completed with 42 deliveries to spare.
