Hyderabad, Dec.19 (RAHNUMA): The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at IIIT Hyderabad hosted its Winter 2025 Demo Day on Thursday, showcasing 13 research-driven startups developing cutting-edge solutions across Artificial Intelligence (AI), intelligent sensing, MedTech devices, robotics, energy storage, language technologies and space systems.
The startups, incubated under CIE’s Avishkar (DeepTech) Accelerator, MedTech Incubator, and AIC-Social Accelerator, are translating advanced research from IIIT-H laboratories such as CVIT, RRC, CVEST, and SPCRC into deployable, market-ready technologies. Their innovations span AI-driven diagnostics, autonomous systems, sustainable materials, intelligent sensing, and next-generation infrastructure.
During the day-long event, startups demonstrated validated technologies, early market traction, and investment readiness before a curated group of investors including SucSEED Venture Partners, Abyro Capital, O2 VC Fund, Hyderabad Angels, Pavestone VC, and Gruhas.
Established in 2008, CIE has emerged as India’s largest academic incubator, playing a pivotal role in converting frontier research into scalable ventures. Embedded within IIIT Hyderabad’s research-first ecosystem, CIE follows a “Lab-to-Land” approach, enabling close collaboration between startups, faculty, and advanced research infrastructure.
The Winter Demo Day reaffirmed CIE’s commitment to strengthening India’s deep-tech startup ecosystem by accelerating research-led innovations with real-world impact.
