Hyderabad, Dec.20 (RAHNUMA): MS Education Academy Founder and Chairman Mohammed Lateef Khan on Saturday pledged to strengthen the presence of Telangana students at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), stressing the need for greater local participation despite the university being located in Hyderabad.
Addressing a felicitation ceremony organised by the MANUU Alumni Association, Lateef Khan—recently honoured with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad National Award by the Telangana government—linked his educational mission to Maulana Azad’s ideals of inclusive learning and cultural responsibility. He highlighted MANUU’s academic quality, modern infrastructure and affordable education, and supported initiatives such as campus visits and a possible local quota to improve enrolment from Hyderabad and across Telangana.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan cited awareness gaps as a key reason for low local enrolment and said outreach measures were yielding results. The programme featured alumni reflections and concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Syed Najmul Hasan.
