Amara Raja better way awards honour grassroots innovators driving rural transformation

Hyderabad, Dec.24 (RAHNUMA): The Amara Raja Group, a $2-billion global conglomerate, announced the winners of the “Amara Raja Better Way Awards”, recognising enterprises that are transforming rural livelihoods through innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth.

Instituted three years ago, the awards celebrate individuals and organisations creating meaningful social impact and employment opportunities in rural India. Winners were evaluated on community impact, sustainability, and local job creation.

The winners of the Amara Raja Better Way Awards 2025 are: Anuttama Products Private Limited won the award for Rural Income Generation founded during the pandemic in Bettampady village near Puttur, Dakshina Kannada district, the company follows a Farm-to-Bar model to produce artisanal chocolates, driving rural entrepreneurship and income generation.

IlaAgri Services Private Limited won the award for Best Agri-based Business. India’s first digital marketplace for certified agri-drone services, IlaAgri enables farmers with climate-smart precision spraying solutions, improving crop yields, digital inclusion, and community awareness.

Ayurarogya Saukhyam Foundation (ASF) won the award for Women Employment. ASF pioneered the world’s first reusable menstrual pad made from banana fibre, creating sustainable livelihoods and empowering rural women through eco-friendly innovation.

Congratulating the winners, Jayadev Galla, co-founder and chairman, Amara Raja Group, said, “These enterprises have made a tremendous impact on the communities they serve. At Amara Raja, we believe in transforming lives and livelihoods, and these awardees exemplify that vision.”

Each winner received a Rs.3 lakh cash prize along with year-long mentorship and support across finance, HR, marketing, IT, and supply chain functions.
