Hyderabad, Dec.27 (RAHNUMA): Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender has emphasised that he remains a member of the Congress party and is not affiliated with the BRS.
Despite being elected as an MLA representing the BRS and currently facing issues related to party defections and disqualification petitions, he has clearly stated his loyalty to the Congress party.
During a meeting with party workers in the Himayatnagar division on Saturday, Danam Nagender expressed his belief that he would readily resign if necessary, run in a by-election, and emerge victorious with a significant majority.
The MLA noted that he has been successful in elections six times and has no fear of by-elections.
“I am making this statement based on the trust and support of my activists, who consistently have faith in me regardless of the decisions I make. My willingness to resign and participate in by-elections, if required, is driven by the encouragement of the party workers,” Danam Nagender remarked.
As disqualification petitions are still pending against all 10 MLAs who transitioned from BRS to Congress, Danam Nagender has already stated that he is ready to resign if Chief Minister Revanth Reddy orders him to do so.
