
Hyderabad, Jan.1 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday reaffirmed the Congress government’s commitment to the welfare of journalists, assuring that issues brought to his notice would be resolved within his purview.
A delegation of the Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) met the Chief Minister at the Secretariat to extend New Year greetings and to unveil the ‘2026 Media Diary’ brought out by the union. Responding positively to TUWJ state president K. Virahat Ali’s request for welfare schemes for journalists as a New Year gift, the Chief Minister promised to consider and fulfil their demands.
Those present included former IJU president Devulapalli Amar, TUWJ state general secretary K. Ramnarayana, IJU Secretary Y. Narender Reddy, National Executive Committee member K. Satyanarayana, State Deputy General Secretary Kalkuri Ramulu, Secretaries V. Yadagiri and K. Srikanth Reddy, Treasurer M. Venkat Reddy, State Executive Committee members B. Kiran Kumar and Ajitha, Small and Medium Newspapers Association President Yusuf Babu, Photo Journalists Association General Secretary K.N. Hari, Urdu Journalists Federation General Secretary Ghaus Mohiuddin, and Video Journalists Association General Secretary Harish.
Later, the TUWJ delegation also met *Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and extended New Year greetings.
Meanwhile, Telangana Media Academy Chairman K. Srinivas Reddy met the Chief Minister and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy at the Secretariat and conveyed the New Year greetings.
