Hyderabad, Jan.4 (RAHNUMA): BRS working president KT Rama Rao strongly criticised the Congress party and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, alleging that the ruling party has consistently misled the people of Telangana regarding issues related to river water management and governance.
KT Rama Rao asserted that the leaders of the Congress should face the highest form of punishment for the long-standing injustices inflicted upon Telangana, while noting that the current Congress administration has exhibited failure across various sectors.
Speaking ahead of former minister and BRS MLA T. Harish Rao’s PowerPoint presentation
on “River Waters and Congress Betrayals” at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, KTR remarked on the perceived degradation of conduct within the Assembly, attributing this decline to Revanth Reddy’s performance as Leader of the House.
He vehemently condemned the language used by the Chief Minister towards BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, calling it both reckless and disrespectful.
The BRS working president emphasised that Chandrashekar Rao is a leader who jeopardized his life for the attainment of Statehood for Telangana and played a pivotal role in transforming drought-affected areas.
KTR criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for using inappropriate language towards the BRS chief, asserting that the Chief Minister demonstrates an inability to distinguish between various water basins, irrigation initiatives, and related tribunals.
Referring to the Chief Minister’s remarks about hanging Chandrashekar Rao and Harish Rao, the BRS working president lambasted Revanth Reddy for using cheap remarks.
“If anyone must be held accountable for betraying Telangana, how many times should the Congress be hanged for cheating Telangana repeatedly?” KTR asked.
“Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy, have failed to uphold significant commitments regarding job creation, agricultural loan waivers, and the promised 42 percent reservation for Backward Classes. At first, they should be hanged for cheating Telangana people,” KT Rama Rao said.
He criticised the Chief Minister for aligning with forces that oppose the best interests of Telangana, stating that the State continues to suffer due to the political immaturity, ineptitude, and corruption exhibited by the Congress leadership.
