Hyderabad, Jan.29 (RAHNUMA): Prof. Tushar Jana, senior professor at the School of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad, has been elected as a “Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences (IAS), Bengaluru, for the year 2026, recognising his outstanding contributions to ‘polymer chemistry and materials science’.
Prof. Jana’s research spans polymer membranes, hydrogen energy, sustainable polymers and advanced nanostructures, with applications in fuel cells, sensors, drug delivery and eco-friendly materials. A recipient of several prestigious national awards, he has also played a key role in translating academic research into industrial technologies.
