BJP to contest every seat in municipalities, corporations: Ramchander

Hyderabad, Feb.1 (RAHNUMA): Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao has informed that the BJP is contesting every seat in all the 116 municipalities and 7 corporations in the urban polls.

He stated that the primary objective of the BJP in the election is to secure the Mayor and Chairman posts in municipalities and corporations, and to win a majority of seats.

In a statement here on Sunday, the BJP President said that after holding extensive consultations and through a collective decision-making process, party tickets have been allotted to candidates and B-Forms have been issued.

“Tickets have been allotted only in constituencies where there is a strong chance of victory. Therefore, party workers who did not receive tickets need not feel disappointed,” he said.

“Any action taken in violation of the party’s decision will be treated as a breach of party discipline. If party workers who were not allotted tickets, out of dissatisfaction or for any other reason, file nominations as independents or through other means, it will be considered as defiance of the party’s decision. Such candidates are advised to withdraw their nominations. Otherwise, strict disciplinary action will be taken as per party rules,” Ramchander Rao said.

He further stated that the BJP is committed to ensuring fair justice to every party worker. Those who remain in the party and violate party rules by filing nominations on behalf of other parties will inevitably face disciplinary action. This decision has been taken as per the directions of the national leadership. The interests of the party are paramount over personal interests,” Ramchander Rao said.

For the Bharatiya Janata Party to emerge victorious in these elections, the collective participation of the people and party workers is extremely important. The party will not tolerate anyone who causes damage to the party or violates its rules and discipline, he cautioned.
