
Hyderabad, Feb.2 (RAHNUMA): The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad hosted the “Urban AI Forum: Rethinking Cities by Leveraging Artificial Intelligence”, an official pre-summit event of the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
Organised in partnership with Bordeaux Métropole, NASSCOM and iSPIRT, the forum brought together the policymakers, academics, industry leaders and civil society representatives to discuss AI’s role in shaping sustainable, inclusive and citizen-centric cities.
Two panel discussions focused on AI applications in smart city planning and the ethical dimensions of AI-driven urban transformation. Experts highlighted how AI can enable predictive governance, transparency and equitable urban development.
A special presentation showcased collaborative initiatives between the India Urban Data Exchange (IUDX) and Institute Paris Region, emphasising data-driven governance and AI infrastructure.
The forum underscored the importance of international collaboration and responsible AI adoption in redefining the future of urban governance.
