Rythu Bharosa funds to be credited after municipal polls: Revanth

Nalgonda, Feb.4 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced that the Rythu Bharosa funds will be credited to farmers’ accounts following the conclusion of the municipal elections.

During his address at the ‘Praja Palana – Praja Vijayotsava Sabha’ (People’s Governance – People’s Victory Celebration), which took place after the foundation stone ceremony for the Young India Residential School in Gudur village, Miryalaguda mandal, Nalgonda district on Wednesday, the Chief Minister affirmed that all welfare schemes would be executed impartially, with benefits extended to all eligible beneficiaries without bias.

Revanth Reddy detailed the government’s commitment to farmers, highlighting that under the farmer loan waiver programme, ₹21,000 crore has been allocated to assist 25.35 lakh farmers. Additionally, he noted that farmers are being provided a remunerative price along with a ₹500 incentive. “Under the Rythu Bharosa initiative, a total of ₹9,000 crore has been distributed at ₹6,000 per farmer. The Congress government stands out as the one that has invested the largest sum in the nation, amounting to ₹1.10 lakh crore for the welfare of farmers,” he stated.

He urged the people to cast their votes in the municipal elections based on the development achievements realised in Telangana during the tenure of the Congress government.

The Chief Minister remarked on the improvements in the ration card process, indicating that previously people waited a decade to receive their cards. Presently, the state government distributes 6 kilograms of premium rice to 3.17 crore individuals in Telangana, and he encouraged recipients of this rice to support the Congress party at the polls.

Revanth Reddy emphasised that Miryalaguda leads in rice production throughout Asia and expressed confidence in the Congress party’s success in the municipal elections, asserting that there is no viable opposition capable of obstructing their victory.

Looking ahead to the new budget in April, the government plans to distribute a substantial number of houses to underprivileged individuals, aiming to enhance their dignity and self-respect.

The Chief Minister criticised the previous BRS government for the issue of fluoride-contaminated water in Nalgonda district, stating that the SLBC project was neglected due to particular grievances towards the district. “We are committed to advancing the SLBC initiatives with the objective of completing them within the next two years,” he concluded.
