Hand over Vemulawada Municipality to BJP for Development: Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad, Feb.4 (RAHNUMA): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday assured that if the BJP is voted to power in the Vemulawada municipality, he would take the responsibility for securing substantial funds from the Central government and ensuring all-round development of the town.

The BJP leader alleged that the Congress government had failed to allocate any funds to the municipality during its two-year tenure and claimed that the state government was facing a severe financial crunch. Accusing the Congress of cheating the people by not fulfilling its election promises, he said the party was once again approaching voters with misleading assurances.

Bandi Sanjay also questioned why the people should support the BRS, alleging that it had exploited the public during its 10-year rule.

Expressing concern over the local political situation, he accused the Vemulawada MLA of threatening BJP leaders and acting arbitrarily. He criticized the police for allegedly supporting the MLA instead of taking action and warned that he would escalate the matter to the DGP and SP if the situation continued.

As part of the election campaign, Bandi Sanjay addressed street-corner meetings at Nampally, Tippapur, Anjani Nagar and Mahankali Chowrasta in Vemulawada. Former minister Inugala Peddireddy, BJP Sircilla in-charge Meesala Chandraiah, district president Reddaboina Gopi, former president Pratapa Ramakrishna, state leader Chennamaneni Vikas Rao, and other party leaders were present.
