Hyderabad, Feb.7 (RAHNUMA): A major fire erupted at the Forensic Science Laboratory, which is situated in the Red Hills area in Hyderabad on Saturday.
This alarming incident commenced at approximately 10 AM.
The fire originated on the first floor of the laboratory building, leading to the rapid accumulation of dense smoke that filled the surrounding vicinity, posing serious challenges for both rescue and firefighting efforts.
In response to the emergency call, personnel from the fire department quickly arrived at the scene equipped with two fire engines, endeavoring to subdue the roaring flames. It is understood that the dense smoke is severely hindering rescue efforts. Firefighters have continued their rescue operations intensively. Officials stated that the cause of the fire is not yet known and full details of the incident will be released after the investigation.
However, there is no information about any loss of life in this incident. Police are regulating traffic in the area and taking strict measures to prevent anyone from entering the lab premises.
