Backdoor recruitment direct betrayal of Telangana youth: Kavitha

Hyderabad, Feb.7 (RAHNUMA): Telangana Jagruthi President K. Kavitha has launched a scathing attack on the Congress government for allegedly indulging in backdoor recruitment to fill backlog vacancies, calling it a cruel betrayal of the unemployed youth who brought Congress to power.

In a statement here on Saturday, she alleged that illegal and unethical attempts are being made to fill posts in Municipal, Revenue, Irrigation, TRANSCO, and GENCO departments without transparency or merit. Several unemployed youth from across the state have approached her, exposing how certain political leaders and corrupt officials are allegedly trying to sell government jobs through influence and money.

Kavitha stated that today Telangana is witnessing rising unemployment, while youth who spent lakhs of rupees on coaching and training are being cheated yet again. She reminded that during the Telangana movement, youth fought with the hope that statehood would guarantee jobs. Instead, successive governments have crushed those aspirations.

Kavitha said the BRS government earlier destroyed the recruitment system by conducting exams without planning, holding multiple exams on the same day, and even appointing candidates without examinations under the excuse of “provision.” High-paying posts were allegedly sold for huge amounts, and similar scams were exposed in districts like Nirmal.

The youth believed Congress would correct these injustices and voted decisively for it in the last Assembly elections, trusting the promise of a job calendar. However, even after coming to power, Congress has failed to announce clear job notifications, creating deep anger and disappointment among unemployed youth.

Now, once again, backlog posts meant for SC, ST, and BC candidates are allegedly being misused. Youth fear that these posts too will be sold, just like in the past. Complaints have been received from Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Adilabad, Nirmal, and other districts.

Kavitha warned that if the government does not immediately stop these illegal recruitment and order thorough investigations, Telangana Jagruthi will not remain silent. She demanded strict action against officials and politicians involved and warned that when Telangana Jagruthi comes to power, both bribe-givers and bribe-takers will face severe punishment.

She urged unemployed youth not to fall into corruption traps and assured that Telangana Jagruthi will stand firmly with meritorious candidates. “Government jobs are not for sale,” she asserted, demanding immediate intervention to protect the future of Telangana’s youth.
