Hyderabad, Feb.8 (RAHNUMA): BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao on Sunday demanded an independent and impartial probe into the fire accident at Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory ((FSL) where crucial evidence related to various cases was stored.
Rao, who was in Bhadradri Kothagudem in connection with municipal and corporation election campaign, told media that the fire accident at the FSL in Nampally cannot be dismissed as a mere accident. He said the fire accident has raised serious doubts where Hard disks, pen drives, DNA reports, voice samples and digital evidence related to several key cases that shook the state were stored.
The BJP state chief said suspicions are growing that the Forensic Lab fire was a deliberate conspiracy to derail the phone tapping investigation. Even after two years, the Congress government is dragging its feet on the phone tapping investigation. No real culprits have been caught yet, leading to grave doubts among the people of Telangana, he said.
During the phone tapping episode in previous BRS regime not only BJP leaders phones were tapped, but there were also attempts to file false cases against party’s state and national leaders, he lamented.
Alleging nexus between Congress and BRS, Rao accused the BRS and Congress parties of collaborating with each other. To cover up their failures, corruption, and inefficient governance, they are making baseless criticisms against the BJP, he said.
The state BJP chief said the atmosphere across the state is favorable for the BJP and it is certain that the party will win a majority of seats in municipal and corporation elections.
