GHMC trifurcated: Jayesh Ranjan takes charge as special officer

Hyderabad, Feb.11 (RAHNUMA): As the tenure of the current Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) council comes to a close, the State government issued a directive on Wednesday to reorganise the civic body into three separate corporations. MA&UD Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan has been appointed as the Special Officer overseeing the newly formed entities.

Ranjan will serve as the Special Officer for the three newly reorganized corporations: the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, and the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.

In addition, the State government has released separate orders designating the Commissioners for each of the three corporations. Specifically, RV Karnan will remain in his role as Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, while G. Srijana, currently serving as the Additional Commissioner of GHMC, has been appointed Commissioner of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation.

Furthermore, T. Vinay Krishna Reddy, also an Additional Commissioner of GHMC, has been assigned as the Commissioner of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.

In accordance with these orders, Jayesh Ranjan visited the GHMC headquarters on Wednesday morning and formally took charge as Special Officer for the three Municipal Corporations. Likewise, the Commissioners RV Karnan, Srijana, and Vinay Krishna Reddy have also officially assumed their respective roles.
