Hyderabad, Feb.15 (RAHNUMA): Sant Sevalal Maharaj Jayanti celebrations were held at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Sunday. BRS party Working President KTR attended the celebrations as the chief guest. He paid tribute to the portrait of Sevalal.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that he was happy to celebrate the Sevalal Jayanti. He said that former CM KCR was the leader, who did justice to the self-respect of the tribal people. He said that KCR turned Lambada Thandas into Gram Panchayats. He reminded that 3146 new Gram Panchayats had been formed for their benefit. He also said that 3146 tribal children had become Sarpanchs in those villages now. He said that water facilities had been provided to every house in the tribal Thandas. He said that KCR gave podu Pattas to the tribal farmers and handed over four and a half lakh acres of land to them in a single day. He noted that hundreds of Gurukul schools had been set up for the education of the tribal children.
KTR made it clear that KCR was the one, who has increased reservation in jobs for the tribal children. He said that the CMST Entrepreneurship Program had been introduced for the tribal businessmen. He also said that lakhs of rupees had been given as government subsidy during the BRS regime. He revealed that overseas scholarships had been given to the Banjara children. He said that land had been given to the Banjara Bhavans in every district and Banjara Bhavans had been built. He assured that he would stand by the Banjaras more in the coming days.
KTR accused the central and state governments of conspiring to weaken the Singareni company. He said that he would make all efforts to save the Singareni.
