Dharma Biksham is Ideal for us: CPI National Secretary Palla Venkat Reddy

Hyderabad, Feb.15 (RAHNUMA): CPI National Secretary and former MLA Palla Venkat Reddy on Sunday said that former MP Dharmabhiksham was an ideal leader for freedom fighters and the communist party leaders . He praised Biksham as not only a party leader but also a warrior, who actively participated in the Indian freedom struggle and the Telangana armed struggle.

On the occasion of Bommagani Dharmabhiksham’s 104th birth anniversary, CPI National Secretary Palla Venkat Reddy, CPI State Assistant Secretary ET Narasimha, CPI State Executive Committee members Bommagani Prabhakar and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District Secretary Damodar Reddy paid tribute to his portrait at the CPI State Office in the city by garlanding it. Geeta Panivarala Sangam Coordinating Secretary Nagabhushanam, Vice President KVL, General Secretary Sailu Goud, RTC Former ED Dornala Venu, AIYF State President Syed Valivullah Qadri, Polagani Ravi Kishore and others participated in the program.

Addressing a gathering later, Palla Venkata Reddy said that Dharma Bhiksham was a great reformer , who constantly worked for the upliftment of the lower classes in the society. He praised him

for forming Geeta karmika associations at the state and national level for the toddy tapping workers dependent on the profession and fighting for their rights. He said that he had the credit of shaping many people into leaders from their student days.

E.T. Narasimha said that he met students once during his law studies and inspired by Dharma Biksham’s words, many students left other associations and joined AISF. He said that he was a close friend of not only the Communist Party but all parties.

Bommagani Prabhakar said that Dharma Biksham was a multi-faceted talent and a sportsman. Damodar Reddy recalled that Biksham’s services as an MLA and a member of Parliament were unforgettable.
