Hyderabad, Feb.16 (RAHNUMA): The opposition BRS party has become alert in the wake of the horse trading being done in the municipal elections to bag the posts of municipal chairman and vice chairman. The Party working president KTR has specially appointed election in-charges for the key municipalities where elections will be held on Tuesday. To this end, KTR personally spoke to the local party leadership, constituency MLAs and in-charges of the respective municipalities and reviewed the field-level situation.
KTR, who inquired about the illegal kidnappings, threats and police abuse being locally, said that their party would support the local party leadership. He announced that senior party leaders were being sent as special in-charges on behalf of the party to stand by the local party leadership in every way and to effectively monitor the election process.
As per KTR’s orders, the senior party leaders immediately left for the municipalities assigned to them. The party has taken these elections with great ambition as the BRS party is clearly likely to win the chairman seats in the 8 municipalities, where elections will be held on Tuesday . Senior party leaders have been appointed as in-charges for the 8 towns.
Election observers by municipality are: Thorrur: MLC Madhusudhanachari, Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, MLC Satyavathi Rathod Janagama: Banda Prakash (Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council), MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy , Kyathanpalli: MLA Kova Lakshmi , Khanapur: MLA Anil Jadhav , Indresham: MLA Prabhakar Reddy and MLC Yadava Reddy , Ibrahimpatnam: MLA Sabita Indra Reddy, MLC Shambhipur Raju , Kagaznagar: Jogu Ramanna , Zaheerabad: MLA Chinta Prabhakar and MLA Sunitha Lakshma Reddy
