
Hyderabad, Feb.23 (RAHNUMA): Intermediate Public Examinations in Telangana will commence from February 25 and continue till March 18. The examinations will be held daily from 9 am to 12 noon across the state.
Inter Board Secretary Krishnaditya announced that a total of 9,97,075 students will appear for the exams. Of them, 4,89,126 are first-year students and 5,07,949 are second-year students. As many as 1,495 examination centres have been set up, which included 404 government colleges, 221 aided colleges, 863 private junior colleges and seven other schools and colleges.
Students have been advised to reach their respective centres at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. While candidates will be permitted entry up to five minutes late, officials cautioned that late arrival could cause inconvenience.
A total of 28,500 invigilators have been deployed for smooth conduct of examinations. The exams will be conducted under strict surveillance with nearly 30,000 CCTV cameras installed across the centres. Officials said five centres that reported issues during practical examinations have been removed.
Authorities clarified that question papers will not be distributed before 12 noon under any circumstances. The Malpractice Committee will take immediate decisions if any irregularities are reported. All basic facilities have been arranged at the centres, officials added.
