Hyderabad, Feb.27 (RAHNUMA): In a major relief for cultural organisers, the Telangana government on Friday launched an online booking system for the iconic Ravindra Bharati auditorium, eliminating the need for in-person visits for slot reservations.
State Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao after formally inaugurating the new website, said the digital initiative would enhance transparency and streamline the booking process. Organisers can now check real-time availability of slots. If a preferred date is vacant, a payment request is generated instantly and the slot is confirmed upon payment. In case of non-availability, requests will be placed on a waiting list and processed on priority if cancellations arise.
The portal enables booking of the 1,036-capacity main hall, the 120-seat mini hall, and the 100-seat “Paidi Jairaj Preview Theatre”, which is reserved exclusively for short film screenings. Three daily slots — morning, afternoon and evening — can be booked up to 90 days in advance.
The website also provides daily programme details for the benefit of art lovers. Director of the Department of Language and Culture Enugu Narasimha Reddy and AO Govinda Rao attended the launch programme.
