Komatireddy reviews implementation of 99-day action plan in Nalgonda

Nalgonda, March 7 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday said the State government has launched the Praja Palana–Pragathi Pranalika programme with a 99-day action plan to strengthen governance and ensure that welfare schemes effectively reach people across villages and towns.

Addressing a review meeting with officials and public representatives in Nalgonda, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy initiated the programme after consultations with ministers to improve service delivery and bring government administration closer to the people.

The Minister stressed that the performance of officials directly determines the reputation of the government and asked them to discharge their responsibilities with accountability.

Komatireddy directed district collectors to undertake regular field visits and closely monitor welfare hostels to prevent incidents such as food poisoning. Pointing out that road accidents claim more lives than diseases, he asked the district administration to conduct awareness programmes under the “Arrive Alive” campaign to promote road safety.

The Minister said the government is implementing several welfare measures despite financial constraints.

Referring to the long-standing fluoride problem in the region, Komatireddy said the SLBC project would be completed by June 2028 to bring Krishna river water for drinking and irrigation purposes. He also said the government is determined to take up the Musi River rejuvenation to ensure safe water for people in several affected areas.
