Hyderabad, March 12 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Information Technology and Industries D. Sridhar Babu said the State government is working in a structured manner to position Hyderabad as a global leader in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) sector, with a focus on building world-class infrastructure and a future-ready talent ecosystem.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating Eyeline Studios, a production studio of global streaming platform Netflix, along with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at HITEC City on Thursday.
Sridhar Babu said the government was simultaneously strengthening infrastructure and investing in skilling, reskilling and upskilling programmes to support the rapid growth of the AVGC sector. The establishment of Eyeline Studios, he said, would further strengthen Hyderabad’s position in the global digital content and entertainment ecosystem.
He noted that Netflix’s presence in Hyderabad would expand opportunities for local creators and professionals while integrating the city more deeply into the global production ecosystem.
“With world-class production standards, advanced creative tools and innovation-driven workflows becoming part of the local ecosystem, young professionals in Telangana will gain access to future-ready skills and global opportunities,” the Minister said.
Sridhar Babu invited Netflix representatives to collaborate with the State government’s Young India Skills University initiative to build industry-aligned talent pipelines. He also encouraged the company to explore establishing a studio in the proposed Bharat Future City, envisioned as a next-generation urban and innovation hub.
