
Hyderabad, March 24 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana government has allocated Rs.74.30 crore to strengthen infrastructure and operations at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University.
Out of this, Rs.50 crore has been earmarked for infrastructure development, while Rs.24.30 crore will go towards employee salaries. This comes in addition to the earlier Rs.100 crore sanctioned for the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar International Research Centre.
University staff associations expressed gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and officials concerned for their continued support.
Association leaders Sri Kantham Prem Kumar, President, Non-Teaching Employees Association; Bharat Reddy, President ,Technical Employees’ Association Dr. Yakesh Daida, General Secretary, TOSA and others stated that, excluding special grants, this is the highest development allocation made to any state university, reflecting strong government confidence. They emphasized the need for efficient utilization of funds to elevate the institution’s academic standards and growth.
