Hyderabad, March 25 (RAHNUMA): A large-scale protest against rising LPG prices was led by Motha Rohit Mudiraj, President of Khairatabad (Hyderabad Central) district Congress committee.
Demonstrators marched from the Indira Gandhi Statue to Lok Bhavan, raising slogans and banging plates to highlight the issue. Around 800 women and party workers participated, holding plates and spoons and creating loud sounds to ‘awaken’ the Central government.
Targeting the policies of Narendra Modi, protestors alleged neglect of energy security and lack of planning despite heavy dependence on LPG imports.
A delegation later submitted a memorandum to the Governor, demanding immediate steps to reduce LPG prices and ease the burden on consumers.
