Govt to allot vacant double-bedroom houses to needy: Ponguleti

Hyderabad, March 25 (RAHNUMA): As part of the Praja Palana–Pragathi Pranalika – 99-day programme, Minister for Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the construction of stalled double-bedroom houses across the state would be completed, and the vacant units would be allocated to eligible, needy beneficiaries.

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy gave a long explanation to the questions asked by about 22 legislators on Indiramma’s houses, double bedroom houses and other issues in the Assembly on Wednesday.

He said that special review meetings will be held in the joint districts soon to solve the problems arising in all the assembly constituencies related to Indiramma houses in the state.

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that special review meetings would soon be conducted across the erstwhile districts to resolve issues pertaining to ‘Indiramma’ housing schemes.

He further announced that, in order to address the issues brought to his attention by the members—as well as those concerning Indiramma houses in other constituencies—a toll-free number would be made available within a few days.

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said inquiries received through this channel would not only be answered within 24 hours, but appropriate measures would also be taken to resolve the underlying issues.

The Minister stated that measures have been initiated to resolve issues related to Indiramma houses in the state by categorising them into three distinct groups.
