Bhatti urges elected representatives to back ‘Model Solar Village’ initiative

Hyderabad, March 29 (RAHNUMA): Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has urged elected representatives to actively participate in the prestigious “Model Solar Village” programme, which has been launched by the state government with the aim of transforming Telangana into a green energy-efficient state.

Bhatti Vikramarka personally handed over letters to Ministers, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) at the Assembly Hall on Sunday,

inviting them to be part of this initiative.

The Deputy Chief Minister advised that every elected representative should install a 2KW grid-connected solar rooftop system in their own residence.

He emphasised that leaders must lead by example to create awareness among the public about solar energy and by doing so, residential areas can be transformed into centres of power generation.

Bhatti Vikramarka further explained that this initiative would not only reduce household electricity expenses but also significantly contribute to the state’s green energy grid.

Interested representatives have been requested to submit their residential address and a copy of their latest electricity bill to the TGREDCO office in Khairatabad. Based on these details, a technical team will conduct a survey and complete the installation process, he said.

Bhatti Vikramarka stated that this decision marks an important step toward achieving carbon neutrality and building an energy-secure Telangana.
