New HC to be a democratic icon for oppressed: Revanth

Hyderabad, April 5 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that the new High Court of Telangana will serve as a symbol and a vital support for both society and democracy. It is envisioned as a venue where the marginalised and disadvantaged can seek justice, he said.

During the foundation-laying ceremony for High Court Zone-II in Rajendranagar, located in the Rangareddy district on Sunday, the Chief Minister emphasised that over the next century, individuals who are impoverished, vulnerable, voiceless, and oppressed will come to this esteemed institution in pursuit of justice.

“Today, as we lay the foundation for zone 2 comprising residential buildings. We will aim to finish this structure in record time by December next year. Similarly, we are working on several new projects for 49 courts and many residential quarters in various towns and districts in Telangana,” he said.

The Chief Minister believe that it is the duty of the executive to provide the infrastructure to judiciary so they can help give fastest, best justice.

“We believe all pillars must work with mutual respect and avoid confrontations. Hence, we give highest respect not only to all verdicts and judgments, but to various observations and feedback,” Revanth Reddy said.

He stated that many governments and Chief Ministers in the past could have taken up this project but for some reason, it was left for his government to undertake this noble task.

“It is a great opportunity for me, maybe of a lifetime, that my government could initiate the project to build a new High Court complex for Telangana,” Revanth Reddy said.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant, Judges Justice Alok Aradhe, Justice S.V. Bhatti, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, and Justice P.S. Narasimha, Telangana High Court Chief Justice Justice Alok Aradhe; Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao; and DGP Shivadhar Reddy and others were present.
