Ambedkar’s life a testament to triumph over adversity: Governor

Hyderabad, April 14 (RAHNUMA): The 135th birth anniversary of the architect of the Constitution and Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was observed with solemnity at Lok Bhavan here on Tuesday.

Governor Shivpratap Shukla garlanded a portrait of Dr. Ambedkar and paid floral tributes to the leader.

Describing Babasaheb as one of India’s greatest sons and the architect of the Indian Constitution, the Governor said, “Dr. Ambedkar’s life stands as a shining testimony to the triumph of the human spirit over adversity. A visionary social reformer and an eminent jurist, he dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice, equality, and the empowerment of the downtrodden. His legacy is a clarion call for the protection of the rights of the poor and marginalised.”

Terming the Constitution gifted by Dr. Ambedkar as among the finest in the world, Shukla said the occasion should serve as an opportunity for every citizen to reaffirm their commitment to constitutional ideals and directives.

He called upon the youth to draw inspiration from Ambedkar’s life and work collectively to restore the nation’s glory and build a just and inclusive society for all.

“Let us move forward in the spirit of unity and fraternity espoused by Babasaheb,” the Governor added, while extending his greetings to the people of the State and the nation on the occasion.

Special chief secretary to the Governor M. Dana Kishore, officials and staff of Lok Bhavan were present at the event.
