Hyderabad, May 15 (RAHNUMA): In line with the austerity measures outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, and party leaders have begun implementing the “seven sutras” aimed at strengthening national economic self-reliance and reducing fuel consumption across the country.
As part of these measures, Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao on Friday travelled by Metro Rail from Tarnaka to Jubilee Hills Metro Station to participate in a programme in the area, setting an example of public responsibility and disciplined leadership.
By opting for public transport, Rao demonstrated his commitment to fuel conservation, financial savings and sustainable mobility. During his journey, he interacted with fellow Metro passengers and appealed to them to follow the Prime Minister’s seven-point initiative to help make the country economically self-reliant.
The initiative is aimed at promoting fuel conservation, environmental protection, and the responsible use of resources, while encouraging greater adoption of public transportation in daily life.
Meanwhile, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has also directed that vehicle usage at Lok Bhavan be reduced by 50 per cent as part of efforts to curb fuel consumption.
