Hyderabad, May 27 (RAHNUMA): Telangana Police officials from Pet Basheerabad police station on Wednesday took POCSO case accused Bandi Bhagirath into custody following the court orders granting three days of police interrogation.
Bhagirath, who had been lodged in Chanchalguda Jail as a remand prisoner after his arrest on May 16, was shifted to the Pet Basheerabad Police Station and later taken to a farmhouse in Moinabad for scene reconstruction as part of the investigation.
Police informed the court that further evidence needed to be collected in connection with allegations that Bhagirath behaved inappropriately with and sexually assaulted a minor girl. While investigators sought one week of custody, the Medchal-Malkajgiri court granted only three days for interrogation.
