Hyderabad, May 30 (RAHNUMA): In a major push to women-led entrepreneurship, Telangana on Friday launched a Rs.21.40-crore Incubator Programme aimed at nurturing and scaling 300 self-help group (SHG) women-led rural enterprises across the state.
The initiative, launched by Minister Dansari Anasuya Seethakka at Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan in Hyderabad, is being implemented by SERP Telangana under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) programme in partnership with BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus and T-Hub, with WE Hub serving as the technical support agency.
The programme combines enterprise incubation with financial assistance, including Rs.8.74 crore for incubation support and Rs.12.66 crore through grants and zero-interest soft loans. Selected enterprises will receive mentoring, branding support, market linkages, compliance assistance, e-commerce onboarding and business development services.
Officials said the initiative aims to help women-led businesses achieve sustained growth, generate 300-500 rural jobs and create a scalable model for rural enterprise development.
Speaking at the launch, Seethakka said the programme aligns with the state’s vision of “Koti Mahilalu Koteeswarulu” and seeks to transform women from job seekers into job creators. She called on rural entrepreneurs to think beyond local markets and build globally competitive businesses.
SERP CEO Divya Devarajan said the collaboration would help rural women entrepreneurs scale innovative business ideas into successful enterprises, while representatives from BITS Pilani, T-Hub and WE Hub highlighted the programme’s potential to strengthen Telangana’s rural entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The launch also saw the unveiling of the programme website, handbook and promotional material, marking the start of a statewide enterprise acceleration mission for rural women.
