Revanth to launch phase-II of Indiramma housing scheme today

Hyderabad, May 31(RANUMA): The Telangana government’s flagship Indiramma Housing Scheme, aimed at fulfilling the dream of home ownership for economically weaker families, is set to enter a new phase. As beneficiaries under the first phase prepare to move into their newly constructed homes, the State government is gearing up to launch the second phase of the programme.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will visit Kumram Bheem–Asifabad district on Monday to participate in a series of events linked to the housing initiative.

At Kothaguda, the Chief Minister will take part in a mass housewarming ceremony along with beneficiaries whose houses have been completed under the first phase of the scheme. He will later address a public meeting at Kagaznagar X-Roads, where he will formally launch Phase-II of the Indiramma Housing Scheme, extending the government’s efforts to provide permanent housing to poor and deserving families across Telangana.

Ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit, elaborate arrangements are being made by the district administration. To oversee the preparations, Adilabad district in-charge Minister Jupally Krishna Rao arrived in Kagaznagar on Sunday after travelling from Secunderabad aboard the Vande Bharat Express.

During the journey, the Minister interacted with fellow passengers and exchanged views on various issues. He also had lunch onboard the train before proceeding to review the arrangements for the Chief Minister’s programme.

Krishna Rao is scheduled to inspect the public meeting venue, parking facilities, helipad, stage arrangements and other logistical preparations. He will subsequently hold a review meeting with district officials to assess the readiness of all departments involved in the event.

The first phase of the Indiramma Housing scheme has already seen the launch of construction works for 4.5 lakh houses across the State. Building on that momentum, the government has set a target of constructing an additional 2.5 lakh houses under the second phase.

The launch of Phase-II from Kumram Bheem–Asifabad district is considered significant, underscoring the government’s commitment to providing secure housing and improving the quality of life of underprivileged families. The programme is expected to mark another important milestone in Telangana’s ongoing efforts to ensure housing for all.
