KCR Extends Greetings on State Formation Day

Hyderabad, June 1 (RAHNUMA): On the auspicious occasion of Telangana State Formation Day (June 2), Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao—the first Chief Minister of Telangana and President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party-extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state and to all Telangana natives residing across the globe.

On this occasion, KCR paid tribute to and fondly remembered the sacrifices of the martyrs, who laid down their lives during the struggle for the formation of the state.

He stated that, after fighting against decades of oppression faced by the people of Telangana and overcoming numerous obstacles, the state was finally achieved through a peaceful parliamentary path and a democratic struggle.

In a statement, KCR remarked that Telangana—which was subjected to severe discrimination and left in a helpless state under joint administration—had been transformed into a guiding beacon under self-rule. He noted that a progressive administration was delivered that effectively silenced the critics, who once claimed that the state was incapable of governance.

He explained that, within a short span of just ten years since its formation as a new state, Telangana had achieved the welfare of all its people and comprehensive progress across every sector, thereby establishing itself as the number one state in the country. KCR stated that the progress Telangana had achieved in welfare sectors—including irrigation, drinking water, electricity, agriculture, education and healthcare—stands today as a model for the entire nation. He asserted that the credit for transforming a Telangana that once resembled a desert into a fertile land of “one crore acres” (10 million acres)—thereby molding it into an “Annapurna” (a land of abundance)—rightfully belongs to the BRS government that governed it for the preceding ten years.

On this occasion, KCR cautioned the people of Telangana to remain vigilant, ensuring that the identity of the state—which has become synonymous with progress—does not once again face jeopardy. He emphasized that the responsibility of safeguarding Telangana from regressive forces rests with all .

KCR reiterated that the BRS party would always stand as a protective shield for Telangana.

He once again made it clear that the current administration bears the responsibility of sustaining the spirit demonstrated during the struggle for statehood and the subsequent decade of reconstruction. He urged them to prioritize governance in a manner that qualitatively enhances the living standards of people across all sections of society and to instill confidence in the public by sincerely fulfilling every promise made to them.

He advised the rulers not to neglect their duty to continuously uphold the welfare of Telangana’s farmers and to foster agricultural development.

On the occasion of the State Formation Day, KCR expressed his aspiration that the state of Telangana would continue to surge forward on the path of progress and flourish with lush greenery, bountiful crops, and prosperity. On this occasion, KCR wished that the lives of farmers, laborers, all sections of society and the entire populace be filled with happiness, joy, longevity, and good health.
