Hyderabad, June 26 (RAHNUMA): BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao announced that the party’s national leadership is giving special emphasis to strengthening the BJP’s grassroots network in Telangana with the objective of bringing the party to power in the state.
Addressing a media conference at the BJP state office here, Rao said BJP national president Nitin Nabin will undertake a three-day organizational tour of Telangana beginning June 28. A national leader dedicating three days exclusively to Telangana reflects the importance the BJP leadership attaches to the state. He expressed confidence that the visit would energize party cadres, similar to previous visits by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
As part of the tour, Nitin Nabin will inaugurate new BJP district offices virtually from the Ranga Reddy district office, and he would participate in a massive meeting of booth presidents from within the GHMC limits at the Hyderabad Exhibition Grounds, followed by a special meeting with MPs, MLAs, and MLCs at the state party office. On the following day, he will interact with students, tribal communities and party workers in Warangal, and conclude the visit by attending the BJP State Working Committee meeting in Ghatkesar before returning to Delhi. BJP leaders clarified that the tour is focused solely on organizational strengthening and is not linked to any election campaign.
On this occasion, Ramchander Rao launched a sharp attack on AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi and the Congress party, alleging that both were attempting to polarize society through misinformation on issues related to citizenship and voter registration.
Referring to a Bombay High Court judgment, Rao argued that a passport is primarily a travel document and not conclusive proof of citizenship. He maintained that only Indian citizens are entitled to voting rights under the law and accused Congress and AIMIM of spreading fear and confusion among the public for political gain.
BJP Telangana General Secretary Virender Goud, State Treasurer Devaki Vasudeva Rao, State Media In-charge and Chief Spokesperson N.V. Subhash and others were present.
