Mahila Congress leader meets Rajanarsimha, discusses women’s welfare

Hyderabad, July 6 (RAHNUMA): All India Mahila Congress National Secretary and Telangana Mahila Congress in-charge Mayuri Singh paid a courtesy call on Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare Damodar Rajanarasimha at his residence in Hyderabad on Monday.

During the meeting, the two discussed various initiatives undertaken by the Telangana government to promote women’s empowerment, welfare, healthcare and overall development.

They also discussed the possibility of expanding the government’s women-focused welfare programmes to a wider audience through the Mahila Congress.

Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha said that his department is implementing several initiatives aimed at empowering women. The discussions also covered the state’s efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, including the recruitment of nursing officers, strengthening medical education, improving women’s healthcare, and empowering Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

Mayuri Singh informed the Minister that the Mahila Congress is working actively to further strengthen the organisation across Telangana while supporting the government’s initiatives for women’s welfare.
