Hyderabad, July 13 (RAHNUMA): Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday said the state government has made elaborate arrangements for the Ashada Bonalu Jathara, with all departments working in coordination to ensure smooth and safe celebrations from July 16 to August 13.
The Bonalu festivities will begin at the Golconda Sri Jagadamba Mahankali temple on July 16, followed by the Balkampet Yellamma Kalyanam (July 20-22), Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu on August 2, and celebrations at Lal Darwaza and other major temples on August 9.
The government has released Rs.15.05 crore for Bonalu celebrations across 3,427 temples in the erstwhile GHMC limits. Officials have been directed to ensure adequate drinking water, sanitation, power supply, traffic management, medical facilities, security, and special RTC bus services. Women can also avail free RTC travel during the festivities.
Ponnam urged the devotees to follow police guidelines and assured that the government is committed to providing a safe and hassle-free darshan experience.
