Revanth calls for Modi’s ouster, backs Rahul Gandhi for PM

Kodangal, July 22 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy exhorted people to dethrone Narendra Modi from the post of Prime Minister and elect Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Minister.

The Chief Minister demanded the immediate removal of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from the cabinet owing to his responsibility for the NEET paper leak which claimed the lives of many aspirants across the country recently.

Participating in a big dharna at Kodangal on Wednesday, Revanth Reddy strongly condemned the brutal attack by the central government and the police on Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.

Terming the attack on Congress leaders as an act of defiance to the constitutional spirit gifted by the architect of Indian constitution Dr BR Ambedkar, Revanth Reddy said the future of students has been jeopardized by the NEET exam paper leak. The Chief Minister extended his support to the students for voicing their demand for the Union Minister’s resignation at Jantar Mantar above the party lines.

Revanth Reddy fired a salvo at the Centre for not arresting the Union Minister who is responsible for the paper leak . Unleashing a brutal attack on the students was unwarranted. Dozens of students are missing and many of them were abducted by the police. The BJP leaders are playing the lives of students by leaking papers in the BJP ruling states, he said.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi staged a protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence in support of the students. In a democracy, the right to protest is guaranteed by Ambedkar’s Constitution, the Chief Minister said.

He questioned the Centre for not permitting a debate on paper leak in the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi suffered injury in the brutal attack. Shedding blood for the country is nothing new for the Gandhi family. Indira Gandhi’s family is synonymous with sacrifice and ready to give their lives for the country, Revanth Reddy said.

The Chief Minister remembered, despite being in power for 10 years, Sonia Gandhi never accepted the post of Prime Minister or any ministerial position. Even while in the opposition, Sonia Gandhi appointed Mallikarjuna Kharge as the Leader of the Opposition rather than taking up any official posts herself.

Revanth Reddy pointed out that a proxy company linked to BRS working president KT Rama Rao, Globarena, was responsible for irregularities in 2019 intermediate exam results in Telangana. The same company changed its name and secured contracts by coordinating with the BJP in Delhi. Had criminal cases been filed against Globarena earlier, this situation would not have arisen now, the Chief Minister remarked.

Facing lathi charges are nothing new to the Congress party, the Chief Minister said that the grand old party had a history of fighting against the British colonial rule and liberated the country.

Revanth Reddy castigated PM Modi and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan colluded to plunder the nation. The Chief Minister warned that the Congress will not sit calm.

“We are ready to stand with the youth and fight against Modi. This struggle will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan is removed from the union cabinet,” Revanth Reddy said.

The Chief Minister called the people of the country ” Let us all unite, fight, oust Modi from power, and make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister”.
