
Hyderabad, July 26 (RAHNUMA): BJP State President N Ramchander Rao on Sunday emphasized that the services rendered by doctors to society are invaluable and medical care not merely as a service to an individual, but to society and the nation as a whole.
He spoke as the chief guest at a special event organized under the auspices of the BJP Doctors’ Cell at KMIT Narayanguda in which eminent doctors participated.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is allocating thousands of crores of rupees through the National Health Mission (NHM). The Centre provides the majority of funding for essential medicines, equipment, and staff salaries in district hospitals, community health centers, and Basti Davakhanas, he said.
Rao lauded PM Modi’s encouragement as the driving force behind Bharat Biotech developing an indigenous vaccine during the COVID-19 pandemic. He stated that Swachh Bharat served not only as a cleanliness drive but also as the foundation for achieving a ‘Swasth Bharat’ (Healthy India). Through initiatives like Khelo India and International Yoga Day, public awareness regarding health has grown significantly.
He urged the public not to ruin their health by relying on unverified medical advice and tips circulating on social media (WhatsApp, Instagram Reels), stressing that they must follow advice only from qualified doctors.
Earlier on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas today, Rao visited War Memorial in the Parade Ground in Secunderabad and paid rich tributes to the martyrs.
He said Kargil Vijay Diwas stands as a symbol of the Indian Army’s invincible courage, unmatched valor, unwavering determination, and supreme dedication to the nation who demonstrated extraordinary bravery on the treacheous peaks of Kargil and protected the honor of the tricolor and the prestige of the nation.
Offering his humble tributes to the immortal soldiers who laid down their lives for the defense of the motherland he said the sacrifice, immortality, and unprecedented dedication of our brave sons to the nation will continue to inspire patriotism and a spirit of national service in every Indian, especially the youth, for generations to come.
On the occasion Former Chairman of the One Rank – One Pension Commission, L Narasimha Reddy, who participated in this event , recalled that resolving long-pending demands regarding soldiers’ pensions during his tenure as Chairman was a historic decision. He emphasized that the sacrifices of our soldiers can never be forgotten by the nation, and the lives of those heroes who sacrificed their lives guading our borders serve as an inspiration to today’s youth.
