Hyderabad, July 28 (RAHNUMA): Minister for SHAKTI (Labour, Employment, Training & Factories) and Mines & Geology, Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy has urged Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav to expedite the environmental clearances for the Tadicherla Block-II coal mine, a project of strategic importance to Telangana’s industrial development.
During a meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday, Vivek Venkatswamy, accompanied by Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna and Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, discussed several priority mining projects that are vital for the state’s economic growth.
The Minister explained that early environmental clearance for the Tadicherla Block-II Coal Mine would generate more than 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities while significantly strengthening Telangana’s industrial sector. He noted that increased coal production would not only meet the growing requirements of industries but also boost the local economy and create sustainable livelihoods.
Vivek Venkatswamy also requested the Union Minister to expedite environmental approvals for the RKP Mines Project, another key mining initiative of the state. He stated that timely clearances for both projects would accelerate the growth of Telangana’s mining sector, attract fresh investments, and expand employment opportunities across the region.
The Minister reiterated that the Telangana government would continue to work in close coordination with the Union government to secure timely approvals for projects that are crucial to the state’s development.
He emphasised that protecting the interests of Telangana, accelerating industrial growth, and creating employment opportunities for the youth remain the government’s top priorities, and every necessary effort will be made to achieve these objectives.
