Hyderabad, Aug.10 (RAHNUMA): Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Monday urged citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ahead of Independence Day on August 15.
Rao said the campaign was an opportunity to honour the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He said he participated in the programme along with youth from his village and neighbourhood and hoisted the Tricolour at his residence.
He appealed to people to participate voluntarily and display the national flag at their homes.
Rao also announced that a grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ would be held near Tank Bund in Hyderabad on August 14. Rally was not linked to any particular political party, but was aimed at projecting national unity and the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
Calling on Hyderabad residents to rise above caste, religion and political differences, Rao urged citizens to participate in large numbers and make the Tiranga Yatra a success.
