Hyderabad, Aug.17 (RAHNUMA): Minister for Employment, Training & Factories and Mines & Geology Dr. G. Vivek Venkataswamy launched a first-of-its-kind employment portal in Muppireddypally village of Medak district that connects students and job seekers directly with local industries to address the regional demand for skilled labour.
The Minister said the portal is a unique initiative in the country that bridges the gap between industries and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Venkataswamy noted that there are over a thousand industries in the region facing a need for skilled manpower. He described the portal as a commendable joint effort by the district administration and industry owners.
“Unemployment remains a major issue both in the region and across the country. While the Telangana government is facilitating overseas employment opportunities through TOMCOM, there is also a strong need to supply skilled labour to local industries.,” the Minister said.
Vivek recalled that investments worth ₹5 lakh crore were secured through the Telangana Rising Global Summit organised by the Chief Minister, and these industries require skilled manpower.
He highlighted that the government is providing training in German and Japanese languages to enable youth to secure high-paying jobs.
“Students should not focus solely on the software sector, as excellent opportunities exist in many other fields,” he said.
Vivek Venkataswamy informed that German language training is being conducted in the Mandamarri area of the Singareni region.
“Students have reached B2 proficiency level and job offers with salaries of ₹25 lakh await them. The government is also bearing up to half of their visa-related expenses. Going abroad for work can uplift the lives of many families,” the Minister said.
