Visakhapatnam, Aug.17 (RAHNUMA): CISF Director General Praveer Ranjan, IPS, reviewed security preparedness at key strategic installations in Visakhapatnam during his two-day visit on August 15 and 16.
At Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, the DG assessed security and operational preparedness and held discussions with RINL Chairman and Managing Director M.N.V.S. Prabhakar, senior management and CISF personnel.
He also inspected security arrangements at Visakhapatnam Port and discussed port security and coordination with Visakhapatnam Port Authority Chairman Jasmeet Singh Bindra and Deputy Chairperson Roshni Aparanji Korati.
Addressing a Combined Sainik Sammelan, Ranjan stressed futuristic security strategies, technological upgrades, operational readiness and personnel welfare. He particularly appreciated the growing role of women personnel and the achievements of CISF women commandos.
The visit reaffirmed the force’s focus on strengthening security at critical infrastructure installations.
